Mayank Khurana
An FTII trained cinematographer, based in Mumbai, Mayank has received praise for his contributions to visual storytelling.
Among his notable works are his roles as Director of Photography on ‘Afternoon Clouds’, directed by Payal Kapadia, which premiered at Cannes, and ‘What is the Summer Saying’, also directed by Payal Kapadia, which premiered at the Berlinale and won the best film jury award at International Documentary Film Festival, Amsterdam.
He began his artistic journey at Hindu College, and his commitment was strengthened by pursuing Still Photography at MCRC, Jamia and Film Cinematography at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII).
His work as a Director of Photography (second unit) on upcoming Netflix web-series 'Operation Safed Sagar', Second DoP on feature film 'Azaad' directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Associate Cinematographer on a large scale feature film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ (Aamir Khan Productions), are projects he regards pivotal in his growth as a cinematographer.
Mayank has also made a name for himself in the world of advertising and music videos, demonstrating his versatility across various visual mediums.
